This weekend marked the 83rd anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland. Declared by the USSR as a “liberation mission”, this undeclared war resulted in over a million Poles being deported to Siberia, the illegal annexation of 52% of Polish territory and eventually the Katyń massacre.
