Reuters report – Yes they do

Readers value media impartiality and like comment clearly signposted, according to research commissioned by the Reuters Institute at Oxford University. The highly detailed report also found that the language used in headlines, and journalists showing emotion in TV reporting, can be perceived as bias. Interestingly the troubled recently-launched GBTV channel is now running news bulletins every 30 minutes in response to viewers’ demands that Fox News-style opinion broadcasting be balanced with normal news bulletins.
