Given the positive experience of previous years, and particularly the AEJ Congress held in Rome, I am pleased to announce that our AGE – AEJ Italia, in collaboration with Roma Tre University, will be renewing this year its series of “Europe Meetings”, via Teams, focusing on highly topical issues. The events are expected to be attended by European journalists, experts from the world of communication and media, and young university students.

The planned scheme (Round table reflection on Europe and Journalism) remains consistent with that of the round table, during which participants will share their reflections. In order to raise awareness amongst a wider audience and to promote the activities of AEJ Italia, the video will be published on YouTube via a link dedicated exclusively to this event. By participating in this event, you tacitly consent to the dissemination of the video.

The first 2026 meeting will take place on Friday 12 June 2026, from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm (CET) and will focus on the topic:

Democracy is in crisis. What about freedom of information?

Participants:

Bulgaria Irina Neveda

Romania Catalin Teodor Dogaru

Turkey L. Dogan Tilic

Italy Vincenzo Piccione

Martina Bianchi

Sara Carbone

The session will be chaired by
