In Hungary’s modest-sized domestic market, Magyar Hang (Hungarian Voice) is one of the two top-selling political weeklies, with over 10,000 subscribers.
The editor in chief, Zsombor György says the newspaper will fold this summer without a fresh injection of income. The 20 or 30 % of its costs it needs from advertising look beyond reach because every source of funds has been closed.
