The Association of European Journalists exists in order to defend democracy, freedom of expression, a political ethos and the undisrupted provision of information on issues regarding European integration together with peace, solidarity and social welfare. We consider that these principles are now at stake, under conditions that lead to disinformation and involve undemocratic elements.
We invite all journalist who honour the professional and ethical standards of journalism to support and sustain these principles during these critical times both for Greece and for Europe.
