Antonio ‘Tony’ Papaleo, who manages an Italian-language website La Voce della Slovacchia (Voice of Slovakia) and also heads the AEJ’s Czech Section, is said by colleagues to be recovering well after being stabbed in a gang attack in Phuket, Thailand, last week.
Concerns remain for Papaleo’s security after he declared that he had received threats in connection with his secret filming of members of an alleged international money-laundering ring operating in Hong Kong. Tony Papaleo is a witness in ongoing criminal cases involving members of the alleged ring.
