With the support of the City of Maastricht and the provincial government of Limburg the Dutch section of the AEJ is preparing the 47th Annual Congress of the Association of European Journalists, AEJ.
According to present plans the congress will take place in this ancient city, birthplace of the European Union, on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November 2009.

Theme of the Annual Congress will be the successes and failures of European regional cooperation, focussing on case studies of the so-called Euregio’s. The area around Maastricht, where the province of Limburg borders on German and Belgian provinces, is one prime example of successful Euregional cooperation.
