Named after Konstantinos Kalligas, a pioneer in Greek journalism and European affairs reporting, the awards recognize contributions to media freedom, journalistic ethics, and European integration.

At the 2010 award ceremony, AEJ Greece honored both Greek and international journalists for their exceptional work in journalism.

🏅 Jean Quatremer (France) – Recognized for his significant contributions to European journalism.
📌 Jean Quatremer, a journalist for Libération and Brussels correspondent, had previously won the Louise Weiss Award for European Journalism in 2006—the first time the prize was awarded for a blog. He is also the President of AEJ France.
