the AGE-AEJ Italia, on behalf of President Nuccio Fava, is pleased to inform you that, as part of our ‘Incontri Europa’, we will be hosting Prof. Romano Prodi. The meeting, extended also to the journalists of the 28 international sections of the AEJ, will take place by videoconference on Tuesday 14 December 2021 at 6 p.m. The topic to be discussed will be: Europe of the future.
After Prof. Prodi’s speech of about 20 minutes, a debate with the journalists of the AEJ’s international sections will follow until 7 p.m.

Curriculum prof. Romano Prodi
Has a long academic and research career in economics (University of Bologna, Harvard University, Stanford Research Institute, Brown University, CEIBS Shanghai), and is one of the founders of the Italian school of industrial economics.
From 1982 to 1989 he was Chairman of IRI and again from 1993 to 1994. He was Minister of Industry (1978-1979), then twice Prime Minister of the Italian Republic from 1996 to 1998 and from 2006 to 2008.
In 1995 he founded the Ulivo coalition.
As President of the European Commission (1999-2005), he led the United Europe towards a single currency and enlargement to 25 countries.
He is universally recognised as one of the most authoritative and expert personalities in the international debate on European Union issues.
