Following increasing evidence of a far-rightist conspiracy behind the Capitol Hill riot on January 7, The Pentagon reacted swiftly last week to the discoveries of US investigative reporters.
They uncovered further evidence of active-service personnel in the US Air Force spreading violent, far-right ideology. The investigation began follows the arrest of Air Force Sgt Steven Carrillo last September, and the attack on Capitol Hill on January 6.
The team made up of ProPublica, FRONTLINE, and Berkeley Journalism’s Program found 15 more men were, like Carrillo, openly promoting “Boogaloo” extremist memes and messages on Facebook. More
