It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the AEJ Congress and General Assembly which, as announced earlier, will take place in Austria, from October 16th/17th to October 19th. Our host and main sponsor is the region of Burgenland and EuRegio Pannonia West with neighbouring regions in Hungary and Slovakia.
Burgenland, once Austria’s poorest „Land“, is now a model region because of a clever use of EU-funds and cooperation in Central Europe. This year, for example, it has become self-sufficient in energy-consumption by using renewables like wind-energy and biofuel.
At Congress, we will have a panel discussion on the future of the European Union (EU) and the challenges for the newly elected institutions of the EU with the participation of prominent leaders. We will also have a discussion about current trends in Media Freedom (MF) chaired by our MF-representative William Horsley.
Our General Assembly will be held on the Saturday and this is of course, an election year…
