The President of AEJ Bulgaria, Kristina Hristova, let us know that the Bulgarian AEJ section has been nominated for the “Human of the Year” Award, an initiative of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee. The award is given for outstanding contribution to human rights.

The reasons for this nominations are: “Because of the Association’s demonstrated determination to make an inquiry about the freedom of speech in time of increased political and economic pressure on the Bulgarian journalism, as well as for its all-round contribution for the defense of the freedom and the pluralism in the Bulgarian media environment“.
