In Bucharest (November 12), the General Assembly of the AEJ appointed Koos van Houdt (Netherlands) as official coordinator of the AEJ project Euregional Journalism. During the meeting Koos referred that the decision to make ‘Euregional Journalism’ a priority for the AEJ is based on the experience with the theme for the AEJ Maastricht Congress in 2009 and the 2011 cross border project by the French and Belgian AEJ sections and the International AEJ in the Euregio Lille-Kortrijk: the ‘Interreg Eurometropole Project’.
