Freedom for Journalists Platform (GOP), formed 92 professional associations of Turkey including 26 national and 66 local journalists associations, will organise a Freedom to Journalists march in Ankara on March 19th.
The march organised with the demand “to free jailed journalists” and “to change laws restricting freedom of expression and press freedom” will begin at 12:00 o’clock. The participants will walk behind the banner of GOP on which its main slogan “There is free society, if there is free press”, and relatives of the jailed journalists will walk with the photos of jailed journalists in their hands behind a line of newspapers chained to each other.
