All 47 member states of the Council of Europe, except Russia, on Friday made a public commitment for the first time to review their anti-terrorism laws to ensure that they conform to Council of Europe with agreed European standards on freedom of expression and information. The AEJ, an Observer at the Council of Europe, tabled the key amendment to a Resolution which after two days of heated debate was passed at a meeting of ministers in Reykjavik, Iceland.
