The Kyiv Independent, launched just before the war began, goes from strength to strength in brave and exact coverage of the war, often minute-by-minute.
Its news brief today focusses on the imminent struggle for Odesa and reports on the first war crimes trials in Ukraine. The London Guardian leads on the story of a man being murdered, his wife then raped, and hundreds of war crimes being investigaged.
It has also published a useful chronicle of the war so far, a terribe story which has become ever more confusing and ominous as it enters its third month.
- Today, the BBC published live CCTV footage of Russian soldiers murdering civilians and looting a tv shop near Kyiv
- UN Human Rights Commission, May 10, 22: Civilian casualties so far
