The Economist‘s editor-in-chief “Zanny” Minton Beddoes interviews Tony Blair, British prime minister 1997 – 2007, on whether the Iraq invasion and the retreat from Afghanistan emboldened Putin´s war on Ukraine. The West needs to believe in and strongly defend its values, Blair argues, and accepts that the wake-up call about Putin had been ignored for a very long time.
