The Association of European Journalists (AEJ) Belgium proudly announced the winners of the 2011 Karel Van Miert & Etienne Davignon Prizes, celebrating excellence in European journalism among both professional journalists and journalism students.
The award ceremony, held at the Brussels Europe Press Club, featured a special presentation by Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, who personally awarded the prizes to the winners.

About the AEJ Belgium Young Journalists Awards
The AEJ Belgium Young Journalists Awards recognize outstanding journalistic contributions on European affairs. The prizes are organized with the support of the European Commission Representation in Belgium and aim to:

âś” Support young and professional journalists in their careers.
âś” Raise awareness about the impact of the European Union on citizens’ daily lives.

🏅 €1,500 for professional journalists and master’s students.
🏅 €1,000 for undergraduate journalism students.
🔹 The Karel Van Miert Prize is awarded for Dutch-language journalism.
🔹 The Etienne Davignon Prize is awarded for French-language journalism.
