Journalist Guido Farolfi passed away
Guido Farolfi (1931-2019) died in Rome, of a long duration disease, Tuesday evening, 5 February, 2019. Guido started as a journalist at Florence Il Giornale del Mattino in 1957, later joining RAI, the Italian public broadcaster, in Rome, working at second radio programme news GR2 with editor Gustavo Selva (1926-2015) also a president of AEJ Italy. Anchoring the early morning newcasts, Guido Farolfi witnessed the difficult Italian situation at the end of 1970’s, reporting about former PM Aldo Moro’s kidnapping and murder as well as the sudden death of Pope John Paul I. From At Rai he also acted as vice-editor at TV news of the Third Network RAI3 and at RAI International. President of AEJ Italy and AEJ International Vice-President Guido Farolfi was married and the father of 4 children.
