Montenegro journalist shot and wounded: “How long must we live in fear of such cowards?”, editor asks
Crime and corruption reporter Olivera Lakic has been injured in a gun attack in Montenegro. A graphic cartoon, the bare facts, and outcry for effective investigation to bring those responsible to justice…
The Guardian newspaper quoted Vijesti newspaper’s chief editor, Mihailo Jovovic, as saying many of the crimes and scandals that Olivera Lakic exposed have not been investigated: “How much longer must we live in fear of such cowards?”, he asked.
The well-known journalist was reportedly wounded in the right leg in the attack outside her home in the capital, Podgorica, was taken to a hospital and was reported to be out of danger.
