The AEJ’s Media Freedom Representative reports on a UN Action Plan to combat violence against journalists

The United Nations held a special Inter-agency meeting in mid-September to prepare an Action Plan on the Safety of journalists and the issue of impunity. William Horsley, the AEJ Media Freedom Representative and a director of the Initiative on Impunity and the Rule of Law, reported on the website of the BBC College of Journalism about this new attempt to enforce international commitments and protect journalists from violence and harassment.
