The AEJ is shocked and alarmed by two brutal and life-threatening attacks on Russian journalists within the past several days. We call on the Russian authorities to take quick and decisive action against the climate of impunity which encourages such atrocious acts. We also call on all relevant EU and European institutions to speak out and take concerted action to protect journalists and others who dare to expose and criticise abuses of power.
