The AEJ has published a Survey of Media Freedom across Europe, entitled Goodbye to Freedom?, edited by William Horsley, the AEJ Media Freedom Representative.
The survey, written by journalists, mostly AEJ members, in 20 countries of the Council of Europe, says, that media freedom is under attack from new political and economic pressures. Media freedom is not a birthright for journalists. To survive, media freedom must be anchored in law and exercised in practice’.
The complete survey is available on the survey page of the website of the British AEJ section: aej-uk.org. On this page you can also find what others have said about the survey, see Cuttings
