To call it out loud and call it out firmly, because it is the life of honest professionals that have been cropped or are under threat. Freedom of the press is a cornerstone of democratic governance, and it is worrying to see that many democratic governments do not act with the necessary energy and resolution to preserve and strengthen it. This said, no one should think that this critique forgets the totalitarian regimes of different political signs that continue to block the advancement of freedoms, spreading the lie that freedom of speech and expression is dangerous and bad.”
