Kyriakos Pierides and Hasan Kahvecioglu (both board members of AEJ Cyprus) met the President of the Parliamentarian Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Rene Vanderlinden. They briefed the President on various issues related to the current situation of the bicommunal civil society movement, making specific references on the lack of cooperation on the level of media. In this context the President was informed on the initiative of a bicommunal bilingual radio programme “The Voice of Our Island”. This programme serves as a unique journalistic initiative in Cyprus. The President will stay in close contact with AEJ Cyprus.
